David J. Clayton is a former Hattiesburg Police Detective with approximately 15 years with the Police Department.  A little info on his background. He became a Hattiesburg Police Officer in 1997.  He was promoted to Detective in 2000.  He continued to progress as an investigator and was ultimately selected to go to polygraph school based on his experience as a seasoned interviewer.  He attended polygraph school in 2003 graduating for Texas Department of Public Safety Polygraph School for Law Enforcement.  He has extensive experience investigating crimes ranging from property crimes such as burglary or theft on to more serious crimes such as Child Abuse, Rape or Murder. He has continued to improve his knowledge of various polygraph techniques through continuing educational requirements for his Licensure requirements.  He specializes in relationship testing.  In 2010, he was one of the few polygraph examiners in Mississippi to publish some research related to his experience in the polygraph profession.  Below are some of the published work he and Dr. Stanley G.
